The list of pros, bros, and big people who trust their lives to the CAST system is legion. If you're looking for a way to tour with a tech toepiece and still use your normal Look Pivot 15 or 18 bindings for the downhill, this is the way to go. The Cast Touring FreeTour Upgrade Kit includes almost everything you need to make your Pivot bindings touring-capable - toe pedestals, tech touring toepieces, brake retainers with climbing aids, and toe shims - you supply the Look bindings and boots with tech toe fittings. An AFD (Anti-Friction Device) compatible with your boot sole type must be ordered separately.

Heel

Freetour Climbing Aids and Brake RetainerThe Freetour heel assembly mounts in two holes ahead of the Look Pivot™ heelpiece.

Tour Mode

Heel AssemblyThe brake retainer is easily engaged by flipping it from the forward position back over the brake and stepping down on the heel. The climbing bails can be easily activated with a ski pole between flat, 8 degree, or 12.5 degree climbing modes.

Boot Compatibility

Alpine Boot Sole ConversionIf you would like to use an ISO 5355 Alpine boot in the CAST system, CAST will perform the conversion in their shop, installing tech toe fittings and returning the boot to ISO 5355 spec. Look Pivot™ Bindings Not Included

AFD (Anti-Friction Device) Not IncludedYou must order at least one AFD to use this kit. Choose the AFD that matches your boot sole type: ISO 5233 Alpine, ISO 9523 Touring, or ISO 23223 GripWalk.

Ski Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
